Frequently Asked Questions

Lash Extensions

How long will my appointment take?
I book 3 hours out for a full set, although in some cases it may take less time- depenging on how many natural lashes you have. Fills are 90 minutes or 120 minutes.
Why are your appointment times longer than other lash salons?
Understand that my goal with every lash appointment is to get every single lash. This ensures longer retention as well as you maintaining the fullest look in between fills. Clients who max out their appointment times typically go 4 weeks in between fills.

How do you get your clients to go 4 weeks in between fills?

My goal is to get every single lash with the strongest bond possible. Lash extensions are placed with a unique technique to ensure that stronger bond. Each individual extension size is chosen according to the natural lash it will be bonded to. I also use medical grade surgical loupes (what dentists wear) so that I can see each individual lash follicle. This paired with proper aftercare will result in the longest retention possible.

How much does it cost?
Full Set: $375
90 min fill: $180
120 min fill: $240

What should I do prior to my appointment?
Please remove any and all makeup and come in with clean lashes.
Please avoid caffeine right before your appointment as it can cause your eyes to jitter and make it very difficult to lash.

Can I get them wet?
Yes, I recommend washing the lashes every day, twice a day - including the first night.
Can I wear mascara with my lashes?
With classic lashes, yes - but most clients no longer need to.

What makeup remover and cleanser should I use?
It is safe to use any liquid eye makeup remover, including oil based. I give each new client a travel size Ocusoft lid cleanser and retail both full and travel size bottles.

Can I use makeup wipes?
Be very careful when using makeup wipes as the little fibers in them can snag the lash extensions.

Can I wear contacts?

How many lashes do you put on?
About 150 per eye

How long will my lashes last?
Most clients go 4 weeks in between fills

What kind of adhesive do you use?

What are the lashes made out of?
100% polyester. Most manufacturers use fancy names like "silk" and "mink" but aren't actually made of the stuff.

Do lash extensions cause your lashes to fall out?
No, not when properly bonded to the natural lash and placed correctly.

What's the difference between classic and volume lash extensions?
Classic lash extensions offer a more authentic look. One extension is placed on one natural lash. Volume is much more dramatic, 2+ extensions are placed on one natural lash, depending on desired look.

Are there any differences in aftercare with classic vs volume?
Yes. If you want continued volume, I may recommend adding a lash growth serum (I like grandelash) to your everyday regimen.

A 2-step process, much like a perm - but for your brows!

Can I get a brow tint in the same appointment?

What can I expect after my appointment?

Your brows will be very slicked up and set in place with a moisturizing serum. It is crucial that you do not get them wet or sweat for 3 hours. After you wash and dry them, the brows will fall slightly but be much easier to brush up. I provide a clear brow gel in the aftercare kit that I recommend using to help keep them in place.

How long does it last?

About 6-8 weeks.

What should I do before my appointment?

Please come with clean brows.
