Early in the year of 2024, I made the switch to UV lashing (using an adhesive that cures with a UV light) and I couldn't be happier with the results - for both myself and my clients.
UV adhesives contain photoinitiators that cure under the UV light instantly. Unlike traditional adhesives, which can take a while to fully cure, the UV method allows me to work much more efficiently. My clients love how many lashes I am able to apply during their appointments.
One of the major benefits of UV lash extensions is the adhesive's superior bond. Curing the adhesive with UV light creates a stronger attachment between the natural lash and the extension, making the lashes last longer. This also means less time removing lashes during the fill time because I am able to cap them (attach another lash at the base without compromising the integrity of the natural lash).
Some clients are sensitive to the fumes from traditional lash adhesives, which can cause discomfort or irritation during and after their appointment. With UV lash extensions, the adhesive cures instantly, minimizing exposure to any potential irritants. Many of my clients have commented on how much more comfortable their experience is now.
The beauty industry is ever-evolving, and as a professional, I believe in embracing innovation. UV lash extensions represent the future of lashing, and offering this service has set me apart from other artists in my area. Clients are always excited to try something new, especially when it comes with so many added benefits. .
